BCMTA Membership

The B.C. Marine Trades Association is the coordinating association for the various recreational marine industry groups in British Columbia. Our membership of almost 300 reflects the many people who work in the recreational marine industry and we are committed to ensuring a future of growth for all. Our members include boat and accessory dealers, manufacturers, distributors, marina operators, yacht brokers, sport fishing resorts and bareboat and skippered charter operators.

We encourage our members to join their industry-specific sector group. Sector representatives appointed to the board are able to keep the BCMTA apprised of the crucial issues facing their sector as well as learn about issues affecting other parts of the industry.

Membership Information
There are three categories for BCMTA Membership:

Regular (any business with an established presence in British Columbia who derives its principle source of revenue from recreational marine products and/or services). Cost is: one to nine employees - $295 / over 10 employees - $395.
Sustaining (any organization subscribing to the aims and objectives of the Association) – Sustaining Members are non-voting. Cost is: one to nine employees - $295 / over 10 employees - $395.
Associate (any business that meets the requirements of Regular Membership but shall be eligible for a restricted level of member benefits) – Associate Members are non-voting and are not eligible for exhibit space discounts at the Vancouver International Boat Show. Cost is $100.

Membership fees are for one full year, from August 1 to July 31, or any part thereof. All new applications must be made in writing and accompanied by payment of applicable fees.
